    RENO, NV (Nov. 30) — As we head into December there is a big weekend ahead for car and motorcycle groups. Looking at the TV, well we’re in the annual journey to the Re-Run Zone but take heart as racing starts right after the New Year. CAR MEETS: • Saturday gets going at 10 a.m. when Nevada Jeep Club has a meet at the new 4-Wheel Parts facility located at 5405 Meadowood Mall Circle. After the meet there will probably be an off-road cruise but the location has to be determined and I’m guessing the weather will be a factor.

  • SPARKS CARS & COFFEE ENDS THE MONTH: TOY RUNS NEXT WEEKEND

    SPARKS, NV (Nov. 27) — Sparks Cars & Coffee held its second meet of the month, which ended November. While the turn out was on the sparse side there was still a decent mix of cars to see. Next weekend things will be different as December begins with toy runs to help disadvantaged youngsters. So this report will be a different different.     RENO, NV (Nov. 23) — Well here we are, Thanksgiving weekend and virtually all, with few exceptions, racing and car meets have stopped. Next week this will change. But for now this will be short.   • NORTHERN NEVADA KART CLUB AWARDS BANQUET

    RENO, NV (Nov. 19) — Saturday was a gala evening for those that compete with the Northern Nevada Kart Club. The location was at the National Auto Museum and after a buffet dinner it was time to hand out the hardware. Once the dinner was over MC Kelsey Nelson started the ceremony. In order to receive a trophy a driver has to have competed in five of the NNKC events during the season. First up was the Kid Kart Class. These young racers are from 5 to 8-year-old.     RENO, NV (Nov. 16) — Here we are a week from Thanksgiving and as expected racing has slowed down to a crawl.     FERNLEY, NV (Nov. 13) — Although it was a cold morning the day turned out to be mild as the Reno Old Timer chapter hosted the final round of the 2022 BBMX season. The turn out was great and speaks well of the future of motocross in our area. There were a couple of young riders that scored victories in two classes.     RENO, NV (Nov. 2) — Well fall has arrived and major series are having their championship events. Here at home that are still car meets and even some racing this month as local series end their seasons. CAR MEETS: • Saturday the Northern Nevada Camaro Club is hosting an Apple Hill Cruise. First meeting point is at 9 a.m. by Summit Racing in Sparks. Then at 10 a.m. next place to meet them is at the Park & Ride in Carson City where Highway 50 and 395 meet. Then at 11 a.m. by the Ralleys in South Lake Tahoe.
