RACING AND PRACTICE (MOTOCROSS):

Due to the Mammoth Mountain event the motocross track is closed for the next two weekends. Photo courtesy – Photoflight Productions.

The motocross track at Fernley NinetyfiveA Motorsports Complex is dark this and next weekend. The reason is the annual Mammoth Motocross that draws riders from all over the west.

• The biggest motocross event in the west is the annual Mammoth Motocross at the Mammoth Lakes resort. Riders earned their spots through qualifying races but now the fun really begins.

The Mammoth Motocross dominates the motocross scene in the west over the next 12 days.

It’s 12 days of dirt track action encompassing all age groups from the Pee Wees to veterans. Practice began today and the Vets will race this weekend. For further information please check the website at, www.mammothmotocross.com

• Due to time constraints won’t have the practice schedules for the Northern California tracks.

• There is a huge menu of events for Saturday and Sunday on www.motortrendondemand.com. Most are international events and includes Australian Supercars.

+ This week www.MAVTV.com carries the load for the current round of the Pro Motocross series from the Mt. Morris course. Things get going at 10 a.m. with the first 250 moto followed at 11 a.m. with the first 450 moto. Then at noon the second 250 moto is shown followed at 1 p.m. by the final 450 moto.
