RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY OPENS THE 2022 SEASON
FALLON, NV (April 23) — Rattlesnake Raceway opened its 2022 season with a two-day show this weekend. There were seven classes on hand, plus two pro-stocks that had a demonstration at the end of Saturday night. After the heat races there was a meet-and-greet on the front straight. There spectators could meet the drivers and see their cars. Then it was time for a somber tribute to the track’s former long time medic. Last November Jimmy McKinnon succumbed to the virus. The Gabbs native would drive to Fallon for the races and be the on-track medic. Before heading to the

FALLON, NV (April 24) — Top Gun Dragstrip opened its season this weekend. Both the Summit ET and Junior Dragsters were on hand as well as a few drivers and riders tuning and testing their rides. Since the program on Sunday was running so smoothly it was decided to have three rounds of qualifying rather than the usual two. This gave the racers and their crew additional time to make any adjustments that were needed. After a lunch break it was time for elimination as the countdown for determining the day’s champions. Before any heats got started the kids came on the infield. Two zones were for the bigger kids while the little ones had two zones of their own. Since the crowd was smaller due to the weather the kids had a bigger
