The means local racing is ramping up and more green flags will be waving, the season is getting rolling.  CAR MEETS: • This Sunday is a banquet for car groups. Things get rolling at 10 a.m. when Reno Cars & Coffee has their first weekend of the month meet. Location is the Kietzke Starbucks. RENO, NV (March 23) — This week’s Racing Preview is a bit calmer but oval track racing is starting in our region. Within the next month oval tracks in our region will start their seasons as well as the Northern Nevada Kart Club and Top Gun Dragstrip.  CAR MEETS: • Saturday is a busy day with two meets happening at the same time.  + Up at Lees Discount Liquor, located at 2950 Nortowne Lane, starting at 2 p.m. there will be a fundraiser for the Eddy House.  RENO, NV (March 20) — Sunday was the first day of Spring and a good number of cars showed up for the Reno Cars & Coffee meet. It was a pretty good mix of exotic, vintage and not so exotic.  In one row front engine and rear engine Corvettes were side-by side. As usual there was a mix of cars.  One car was a 2012 M Sport 335 BMW Sedan. RENO, NV (March 16) — While we’re light on car meets this weekend there is a special event Saturday. There is plenty of motocross action over the hill in Northern California plus a lot on TV and the Internet.  CAR MEETS & EVENTS: • Saturday, starting at noon, there will be one more Mud Fest out at Chickadee off Lemmon Drive. An interesting event to say the least and a chance for some to really have fun in the mud.  • The next Northern Nevada Rallycross event is this Saturday. Event is held on the road course at Fernley 95A

RENO, NV (March 9) — Racing is still ramping up nationally and a bit here in Northwest Nevada. With the “winter” weather being more like spring things are getting going.  CAR MEETS: • Carson Cars & Coffee meets, starting at 10 a.m., on Sunday. The location is 3300 US Highway 50 East in Carson City. I believe that is by the Human Bean coffee stand.  • After last time there is no word if and where Sparks Cars & Coffee will meet this weekend.
