MOTOMEDX: LOOKING OUT FOR RACERS AND RIDERS
For Steve Clark it’s a combination of the love of riding and his seeing a need for medics at races and rides. His love of motorcycles began early and at age 10 got his first bike a 1979 Honda XR80. “I haven’t done a whole lot of racing but when I was the ripe old age of 50 friends talked me into doing my first race, the Virginia City Grand Prix,” he said. “I got the finisher’s pin, talked to the medical director and signed on to ride for him.” At the VCGP there are several riders that do not

Mary McGee looks like a typical grandmother, white hair and a million dollar smile. However looks are deceiving as she’s anything but typical. You see McGee has spent most of her adult life in the fast lane as well as been a pioneer for women in racing. “I got interested in racing by accident, she said. “I had a MGTD I drove to work with, also drove a couple guy’s cars and competed in Gymkhanas.” Her older brother and future husband met each other while in the service and they both wound up in Phoenix. Eventually she got married and

RENO CARS & COFFEE STARTS THE NEW YEAR
RENO, NV (Jan. 3) – Reno Cars & Coffee took advantage of the good weather to kick off the New Year with their first of the month meet. Lance Freitas, who runs the group, estimated there were between 150 to 200 cars and trucks for people to see. In one area there was kind of a Corvette line with an Audi parked in it. There was also a 2021 C8 Corvette mid-engine with the hoods up to show luggage as well as the motor. One of the more unusual vehicles is an off-road rig, a Jeep Grand Cherokee with a
