RAD CLEAN UP DAY A SUCCESS
RENO, NV (Feb. 22) – RAD or Reno Area Dirt Riders is a club hosting group rides, representing dirt riders when land issues are discussed as well as improving the riding experience in our region. Over the years many have noticed all the junk and abandoned vehicles discarded around trails and roads in this area. These create hazards for those riding in the same area. So this weekend, thanks to a grant, the club plus others participated in the first clean up day. The assembly area was on the dirt extension to Kiowa Way on the east side of Peavine.

TRAIL BLAZERS KICK OFF MRANN SEASON
NIGHTINGALE, NV (Feb. 16) – For over 20 years the Trailblazer’s Motorcycle Club has kicked off the MRANN season with a Hare & Hound race. This year’s edition was the “Wash” ington 100. Nice weather set the stage for a great Sunday as several out of state riders showed up. In fact there were 167 on hand to get this year’s desert racing going. ARENACROSS RETURNS TO RENO
RENO, NV (Feb. 8) – Once again the Reno Livestock Events Center echoed with the sounds of Arenacross. The series is now Kicker AMA Arenacross presented by Lucas Oil and it has returned to the Biggest Little City. Unlike the previous series the racing card had all the classes including both pro divisions. The afternoon was for heats and if a class had too few entries that main was run before the evening show. TOP GUN AWARDS BANQUET
FERNLEY,NV (Feb. 1) – Officials, drivers and family members from the Top Gun Dragstrip gathered to celebrate the 2019 season on Saturday. The function was at the Fernley Senior Center and began a very nice potluck dinner. Once that was over John Stauverman, track president and race director, introduced the new track announcer, Davey Boy Munoz. After explaining his extensive background Munoz took a wireless mic and began to interview some of those in attendance.
