RENO, NV (Dec. 11) – Racing Preview for this week has us still deep in the Re-Run Zone but there are some events and racing to see.
TOY DRIVES:
• This weekend Reno Cars & Coffee is at another location for their meet. They’ll be at Muscle Motors for Cars for Tots to benefit the Salvation Army.
The meet starts Sunday at 10 a.m. and if possible please bring an unwrapped toy to donate. You’ll help brighten a child’s day.
• For those living in Carson City or further south there is a toy drive in your area. Testa Motorsports, located at 1581 Hwy 396 North is having an annual toy drive until December 20.
Once again, please see if you can bring them an unwrapped toy. It’s another chance to brighten Christmas for a child.
RACING (NEVADA AND REGIONAL):
• Probably the last desert race of the year is being put on by SNORE down in Southern Nevada. It’s the 2019 McKenzie’s Rage at the River close to Laughlin.
Thursday is for registration, Friday for qualifying and tech. Then Saturday and maybe Sunday there will be six heat races for different classes with the awards ceremony at 7 p.m. Sunday.

• Here is the Northern California motocross practice schedule for this weekend. Weather could be a factor in all of this.
+ MMX from 9 until 2 p.m. Saturday has practice on the main, sand and kid’s tracks. Saturday from 9 until 3 p.m. has both the main and kid’s tracks for practice while it’s ride day for the OSMX group.

+ Same story for E Street MX Park, Riverfront and Prairie City as rain hit pretty hard and more is expected. So be sure to call first and the hotline is: 775-265-7223.
RACING:
• Most of Thursday in on www.mavtv.com as they are rerunning many races from this past year.
Things begin at noon with the Summer Showdown Series followed by Super Cup Stock Car Series and Outlaw Figure 8 racing.
Then at 2 p.m. it’s Short Track America, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt series, Speed Sport and at 5 p.m. Madera racing.
A bit later at 10:45 p.m. www.motortrendondemand.com has FIA World Touring Cup qualifying from Sepang, Malaysia.
• Friday gets an early start at 3 a.m. when Motor Trend airs more World Touring Car qualifying, all three sessions.
Then at 5:30 a.m. there is FIA World Endurance Championship from Bahrain. Later in the day, at 7:30 p.m. the FIM Endurance World Championship qualifying will be shown.
• Saturday is pretty full and gets an early start when, at 3:30 a.m. Motor Trend has the 8 hour FIA World Endurance Championship race from Bahrain. Then at 10:25 p.m. the network shows the first race at the FIA World Touring Car event.
• Night owls will rejoice at at 1:25 a.m. the network shows the second and third races from Sepang for the FIA World Touring Car Championship series.
Back home, starting at noon, MAVTV has Lucas Oil Drag Boat racing followed by Lucas Oil Pro Pulling League and the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series.
Not to be left out CBS Sports also has a bunch of races that will be shown.
Starting at 11 a.m. there is a GT X-DTM event followed by two hours from the SCCA Run Offs featuring Spec Miata and the Grand Touring classes.
After that comes the SKUSA Go Kart event and at 4 there is World of Outlaws and the afternoon ends at 5 p.m. with another Lucas Oil Off Road race.
That’s it for this weekend but live racing will resume, weather permitting, the weekend and week after Christmas.
