Saturday:
+ Top Gun Drag Strip, located south of Fallon has a one-day event this weekend. It’s $5 Saturday from 6 p.m. until midnight, a great time for grudge racing or to find out how one’s car will do in the quarter mile.
Top Gun, on its Face Book page, put out an advisory. Even though it’s hot weather be sure to wear appropriate clothing to the event.
For example if you’re going to be around the starting line long pants and closed toe shoes are needed. Leave the flip flops at home.
+ That same night at 6 p.m. Rattlesnake Raceway, just east of downtown Fallon, will have another of its points races.
+ Further west, also at 6 p.m., Fernley 95A Speedway is scheduled to have another race that will include Sprint Cars.

•Sunday:

+ At 11 a.m. NBC Sports has the Indy Cars on the Triangle or Pocono. There are some wide-open parts to this track, which isn’t really banked too much.
+ MAVTV at 11:30 a.m. shows the ARCA race from the Springfield Mile. It’s part of a double header at the Illinois State Fair but Saturday’s races apparently won’t be televised or streamed. However this will be full sized stock cars on a dirt mile.
That’s it for this weekend. If possible do get out and see a race live. There is nothing like it as you get to experience the sound, color and speed of live motorsports.
We here at nvracingnews want to offer our best wishes to all the racers, especially from Nevada, at the Vegas to Reno event.
