COREY HERRING MEMORIAL RACE AT HONEY LAKE
MILFORD, CALIF (June 17) – For the past five years MRANN racers have competed in the Corey Herring Memorial Race, which honors a young racer lost on Father’s Day. It’s also known as the “Go Big or Go Home,” race and again it was staged at the Honey Lake Motocross Track. Racing at Honey Lake is always a challenge as it combines motocross sections as well as cross country parts and includes a pretty big hill for the big bikes to negotiate. RENO, NV (June 13) – It’s another full Racing Preview this week and I’m adding a new section. Here in Northwest Nevada it’s the season of the Cruise so I’ll be previewing those. SUPERCRAWL AT WILD WEST MOTORSPORTS PARK
MUSTANG (June 10) – Super Crawl visited the Wild West Motorsports Park this weekend. The two-day show includes a Saturday night shootout as well as some foreign drivers.What this sport lacks for speed it more than makes up in the challenges all the competitors face with steep inclines to negotiate, side hills where rollovers are a constant challenge not to mention getting around in some very tight spaces. AMERICAN VALLEY SPEEDWAY: PRE BREAK RACES
QUINCY, CALIF. (June 9) – Before the annual 4th of July break American Valley Speedway hosted another points race this weekend. There was some close racing and the Sport Mod class may have had the closest finish ever. When the green waved on the 15-lap main Tom Froggatt lead the charge with Brittney Nieman second. As the field headed down the back straight Richard Longacre used an inside move to take the point. AMERICAN VALLEY SPEEDWAY HOSTS NEVADA PRO STOCKS
QUINCY, CALIF. (June 2) – American Valley Speedway hosted the Nevada Pro Stock Association as well as the track’s regular classes this weekend. It was a long night of hard and sometimes wild racing.
