RENO, NV (May 9) – This week’s Racing Preview is another buffet of varied events both in this region as well as nationally and internationally. One local event brings a traveling series here for its only visit this season.
The weekend actually begins on Friday at 7 p.m. as Rattlesnake Raceway has the car classes racing on the oval. Then on Saturday, starting at 5 p.m. the Outlaw Karts will get their turn on an evening where they plan a pot-luck dinner as well as other things for these young drivers.
Biggest show of the weekend will be at Fernley 95A Speedway where the Sprint Car Challenge will visit the track as well as the IMCA Modifieds. Action begins at 6 p.m. and it’s the only visit by the series this year.
Minden’s Sprint Car champion Tanner Thorson will be wheeling the #3C car while Adam Walters comes back after a five-year absence and will be racing #34. Should be a great event to come out and root for our local drivers.

Since its the second weekend of the Month that means Sparks Cars and Coffee will have its monthly gathering at Dunkin’ Donuts in Sparks. Great time to see some good looking cars and meet fellow gear heads.
