RENO (Nov. 29) – Even though there is no racing in our region it’s still a busy weekend here. In other areas there is some racing as well as NASCAR’s championship week down in Las Vegas. This time of the year is when people and organizations band together to help the less fortunate. Especially children so they can have a nice Christmas and this Sunday three groups are doing just that. For the two-wheeled crowd the Northern Nevada Confederation of Clubs is hosting the 37th annual Reno Toy Run on Sunday. And all types and brands of motorcycles are welcome.

NEVADA PRO STOCK CHAMPION: TRAVIS WHITE
The Nevada Pro Stock Association had a barnburner of a season this year. After the final checkered flag waved Travis White was the champion by only three points ahead of Shawn Natenstedt. The series traveled between Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon, Lovelock Speedway as well as two California tracks, American Valley Speedway in Quincy and one in Cedarville. Due to a cancellation the final two rounds were run during Dirt Track Championship weekend at Rattlesnake Raceway. RACING PREVIEW: NOV. 22 TO 26
RENO, NV (NOV. 14) – Racing preview for this week is out early due to the Thanksgiving holiday. One more major series will end its season and although things are quiet in our area there is still racing going on. Over the hill in Northern California there will be practice at three tracks although they are all closed for Thanksgiving, E Street MX Park has practice Wednesday from 1 until 5 p.m. then Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Not far away Riverfront MX has practice from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday. CARSON RACEWAY: INDOOR KARTING FUN
RENO (Nov. 20) – Carson Raceway is the newest indoor karting track in the region. Jamy Keshmiri owns this track as well as the area’s Ben’s Fine Wines and Spirits stores. His involvement came in an unusual way. “What happen was that I bought the building, it’s funny the mortgage is the same as the rent for my old place,” he said. “So I thought, why not just buy the building, instead of just paying rent I can own it. RENO, NV (Nov. 15) – Racing preview this weekend has another major series ending its season. Even though there is no racing in our area there are four different races going on this weekend in California, Southern Nevada and Baja, Mexico. BATTLE BORN MX ENDS SEASON
FERNLEY (NOV. 12.) – BATTL BORN MX fall series ended today with great weather and some hard racing. Hosting the event was the Reno Chapter of the Old Timers and there were 206 riders on hand that signed up for 309 racing slots. AWARDS BANQUET: NEVADA PRO STOCK ASSOCIATION
FALLON, NV (Nov. 4) – The Nevada Pro Stock Association, NPSA, held its award banquet in the Fallon Elks Lodge on Saturday. The get together celebrated a fantastic season for the group and gave them chance to not only honor the 2017 champion but sponsors and tracks that have hosted the series.
