BOTTLE CREEK, NV (Oct 29) – Mason Valley Dirt Squirts once again ended MRANN’s season at Bottle Creek. The Hare Scrambles event was called the Silver State Howl-A-Wheelie. The site is about 40-miles north of Imlay or 30 miles northwest of Winnemucca and is reached by good dirt roads. RENO, NV (Oct 25) – Racing preview for this weekend has a varied menu even though seasons are winding down. And while tracks are going dark there is some live racing just getting started along with what’s found on TV and streamed on the Internet. ULTRA 4 ROCKS WILD WEST MOTORSPORTS PARK
MUSTANG, NV (Oct. 21) – Once again the Ultra 4 series ended its season at the Wild West Motorsports Park. Like previous visits it was an action packed day with hard racing over obstacles. RENO, NV (OCT. 18) – This week’s racing preview highlights the biggest event in our area, one that has some insane action. In addition there is still racing on TV Land even though the season is winding down. The main action will be the 4 Wheel Parts Nitto Nationals that ends the Ultra 4 season at Wild West Motorsports Park. TANKSLAPPERS SEND MRANN TO PURGATORY
PURGATORY PEAK, NV (Oct. 15) – The Tankslappers Motorcycle Club hosted round 7 of this year’s MRANN series of desert races. The area was close to Purgatory Peak located east of the north end of Winnemucca Dry Lake. The road getting to the pits was a bit of a challenge due to silt areas but everyone managed to get through and arrive at the pits. RATTLESNAKE RACEWAY: DTC MARATHON
FALLON (Oct.8) – Rattlesnake Raceway ended its formal season with the 31st annual Dirt Track Championships. It’s a two-day event where the cumulative finishes determines a driver’s final position and the title for their class. Sunday is the money day but got off to a slight late start so things were rolling just over an hour after they were schedule. Three big races were the highlighted the day. BATTLE BORN MX AT THE SANDBOX
FERNLEY (Oct. 1) – Round two of the BBMX fall series was held at the Sandbox, which is the Fernley/Wadsworth Lion’s Club Motocross Track. Reno chapter of the Over The Hill Gang was the host and Mother Nature gave the riders great weather for racing. Although three pros were on hand to contest the 250/450 motos it came down to a two-rider duel between Dylan Galliett and Tony Evans.
