One more week in the “rerun zone,” but fear not racing begins this weekend. Racing Preview for this week is again thin but that’s going to change this weekend. With New Year comes racing as the thunder returns. Locally Livfast Exit 28 Motocross track will probably be having practice sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. When this was written there was no confirmation so one needs to check first. For those racing in the Bishop Winter Series there are practice sessions on Saturday. Usually at 8 a.m. is when the gates open followed by track time.

OVAL TRACK SEASON REVIEW
Time to look back at this year’s oval track season as we get ready for the New Year and the 2017 season. The Oval Track Season Review highlights months of hard racing for championships. Another slow week for race fans but fear not the action will begin shortly. There is also a live event on the Internet as well as a bundle of racing shows to watch this weekend. Racing preview for this week is again slim pickings when it comes to live racing and many times only reruns are on TV and the Internet. However there are some live events to be seen or to attended. Locally, and depending on the weather, Livfast Exit 28 will hold practice sessions from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There is one motorcycle event on tap in Marysville, California this weekend. It’s an AMA District 36 event at the track over there. NORTHERN NEVADA KART CLUB BANQUET
RENO (Dec. 3) – Northern Nevada Kart Club (NNKC) held its annual awards banquet at the Grand Sierra Hotel and Spa this weekend. Awards, including special recognition, finishes and a very special one were handed out as well as a raffle for prizes. President Brian Rivera started things off with some comments about the state of the club and his hopes for the future. Rivera explained the future of the track is still up in the air as negotiations with the airport authority are still going on. He also introduced the 2016 board and noted the elections won’t be held
