As fall proceeds series are ending then winter racing will begin.
Racing Preview for this week is slimmer as series are heading toward their final events where the championships will be decided.
Even here in our area the remaining two series still racing are on their way to the final events for each of them.
This weekend the 775 Fall MX Classic will have its final event at Livfast Exit 28. Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. is for practice.
And those planning on racing Sunday need to keep in mind the time will change as we go off Daylight Savings Time so be sure to set your clock back one hour.
Then on Sunday practice begins at 8 a.m. with the first moto anticipated to start at 9 a.m. Riders will be going to secure class championships or improve their points positions.
SPECIAL NOTE: I JUST FOUND OUT THIS EVENING, THURSDAY, THAT THE RACE SLATED FOR EXIT 28 WAS CANCELED. THIS DUE TO THE FLOODING OF THE STARTING AREA AND IT BEING TOO MUDDY TO RACE. SO THERE WILL BE PRACTICE SESSIONS FROM 9 A.M. UNTIL 2 P.M. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. SORRY FOR THE LATE NOTICE.
While racing is ending in our area there is still a bunch on TV and the Internet.
This weekend all three of NASCARS top divisions are in Texas for a triple-header. If you get NASCAR Live (I believe it can be accessed through www.nascar.com.) the Camping World Trucks start their practice Thursday at 12:30 p.m.
On Friday both Cup and Xfinity practice sessions can be seen on NBC Sports while the truck qualifying and race, which begins at 5:30 p.m. are on Fox Sports 1.
Saturday begins at 7:30 a.m. when CNBC has Cup practice followed by Xfinity race at noon.
Then at 8 p.m. Fox Sports 2 starts coverage of the FIA World Endurance Championship from Shanghai, China. They will switch over to Fox Sports 1 at 11 p.m. as this is a long race.
Over on the Internet, www.fanschoice.tv, starting at 2 p.m. airs the NWAAS King of the Hill event from Tucson Speedway.
Sunday is pretty slim but the Sprint Cup event from Texas begins at 11 a.m. with huge championship implications. Right now only Jimmy Johnson is seeded into one of the four positions at Homestead.
In the Cup standings Jimmy Johnson is first followed by Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth and Nevada driver Kyle Busch fourth.
Over in the Xfinity series, which also has an elimination series going, the leader is Eliott Sadler followed by Daniel Suarez, Blake Koch, Justin Allgaier and in seventh place Nevada driver Brendan Gaughan.
That’s it for this week. If you get a chance to get to the motocross race do so.
Exit 28 is a nice place, located east of Sparks off I-80, and you can experience how exciting this sport is, not to mention some of our up and coming riders.
