As the racing season gets closer and closer the action is heating up across the country. And soon it will be locally as well.
Racing preview for this week will be a bit shallow locally due to either the weather or tracks preparing for upcoming races. But there is still a bunch of racing to be watched on TV and the Internet.
First and foremost there will be no practice sessions this Saturday and Sunday at the Livfast Exit 28 Motocross Track. The crew is prepping for next week’s opening of the local motocross season.
Further east Rattlesnake Raceway has cancelled its first Playday due to the incoming weather. The next one is scheduled for March 19.
No word yet from Hawthorne Speedway but there is a workday scheduled for Saturday with a 9 a.m. start time.
For those planning to compete or attend the GP Marathon races at the E Street Motocross track over at Marysville, those too have been canceled due to the incoming weather.
Now to the TV side.
Over on TV MAVTV at 6 p.m. they Thursday they will broadcast the FIA World Rally Championship event from Mexico. Then at 11 p.m. CBS Sports broadcasts the FIM Motocross event from Qatar.
Finally, starting a midnight, MAVTV has another part of the World Rally from Mexico.
Friday on Fox Sports 1 starting at 10:30 a.m., is bunch of practice and qualifying sessions from the NASCAR event in Las Vegas. Then at midnight MAVTV has another session from the World Rally in Mexico.
Saturday begins at 1 p.m. on Fox Sports 1 with the Xfinity race from Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Of course that will depend on the weather down there.
Then at 7 p.m. Fox Sports 1 broadcasts Supercross from Daytona. The event kicks of the 75th Annual Daytona Bike Week.
Finally, at 10 p.m. MAVTV has another installment of the World Rally from Mexico.
Sunday, starts at 12:30 p.m. when Fox airs the NASCAR Sprint Cup event from Las Vegas. Once again this will depend if the storms reach down there.
Over on the Internet www.fanschoice.tv will air two nights, Friday and Saturday from the Amsoil Championship Snocross. The start times weren’t listed so viewers will have to check the site on those days.
That’s if for this week. Could be some great racing and next week local racing should be getting started.
