Racing preview for this weekend still has some action for fans as well as some two-wheeled racing.
While racing locally is over for the year there is still some action. Motocross riders wanting to keep their skills sharp can practice, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Livfast Exit 28.
The track is located east of Sparks on I-80 and is the next exit after the one at Mustang.
This is NASCAR’s final weekend for this year and three championships will be decided at Homestead, Flordia this weekend.
Thursday has several programs and at 4 p.m. NBC Sports will air last weekend’s K7N Pro Series West race from Phoenix.
Then after a series of qualifying, practice sessions Friday will end on Fox Sports 1 as the Camping World Trucks end their season and crown that series champion.
Saturday begins at 6 a.m. on Fox Sports 1 with a FIA World Endurance Championship race. Then at noon NBC broadcast the Xfinity race, which will determine that series champion when the checkered flag waves.
The Sprint Cup final four drivers have their race on Sunday starting at noon on NBC. When the checkered flag waved either Kevin Harvick, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch or Martin Truax Jr. will be crowned the champion.
For Jeff Gordon this is probably his final drive in a storied career. If he can win his fifth championship on a track he usually does well at, it will be storybook finish to his storied career.
Over on the Internet motorcycle fans can watch the final AMA Pro Flat Track races of the season. They will be broadcast beginning at 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday on www.fanschoice.tv.
