On Wednesday, starting at 7 p.m., the annual Sparks Cruise begins and runs until 10 p.m. Always a fan favorite and a way to see these cars as they cruise by.
There will be many places, at many casinos as well as downtown Reno and Sparks to get up close and personal with the Hot August Nights cars.
Finally Hot August Nights is here, even if it’s in July this year. Things kick off Sunday, from noon to 6 p.m. with the annual show and shine at the Bonanza Casino located on North Virginia.
Then on Monday the festivities move from South Lake Tahoe to Reno and Sparks. Several casinos including the Peppermill and Atlantic begin their cruises in and out of their parking lots.
Tuesday sees the Grand Sierra start with at least one of its huge parking lots full of displays, entertainment and cars while the Atlantis continues its annual Cruise of Champions.
Downtown Reno will also be busy and on Wednesday there will be a “Mustang Alley,” celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Mustang. Many vintage models will be on display.
That evening things heat up in Sparks as, starting at 6 p.m., in the west lot of the Nugget there will be burnouts and drag racing. Then at 7 p.m. the first cruise night at Victorian Boulevard will begin and run until 10 p.m.
And Barrett Jackson auction also begins on Thursday.
