Those that like cars had a bunch to check out. • There is a new female owned auto shop in Reno. On Saturday there was a female only car meet to help introduce the business to new potential customers. RENO, NV (June 21) — Father’s Day weekend was a busy time with car meets.  It was highlighted by almost perfect weather. • On Saturday the Wicked Ways Club had a Ride & Shine at Paradise Park in Reno. Besides the low riders even some of the Old Slammers showed up. Among the exhibits were several chromed bikes with some sporting the club’s name. Many of the cars were great restorations and were equipped with lifts. One great looking one was a 1964 Chevy Impala. Even the motor had been chromed and polished for all to see. It was part

RENO, NV (June 14): Warm weather set the stage for a weekend of big car meets in the region. They happened over in Loyalton, one in Carson City as well as a large one here in Reno. That event was Cars and Stripes, the first of two meets benefitting veterans. Location was in front of the Sportsman Warehouse and was sponsored by the Iron Mafia, Nevada Car Coalition and Honor Flight. One booth was from the Combat Vets Association Motorcycle Club. RENO, NV (June 8) — With the exception of a windy Saturday the weather was great for most events this weekend. There was something for almost everyone. • Friday evening started when the Reno Bike Community gathered at the Maverik station located by the corner of Sutro Street and North McCarran. Turnout was pretty good as more and more bikes keep arriving. Around 7 p.m. it was kickstands up for a cruise to Carson City. • On a windy Saturday Need2Speed held another of its Karts & Kars meets. RENO, NV (May 31) — The month of May ended with two major car shows. Setting the stage was great weather. • Saturday was when the Reno Mustang Car Club held it’s Ford car show at Rancharrah. Walking in from the parking lot folks were greeted by a row of Mustangs parked across from the Mansion. Since it was an all-Ford show there were many types including an early model Ford Ranchero. Not far way was a Ford GT 40. On the windshield was certification it was powered by a Shelby built 498 V-8 that produces 605 horsepower. There was

RENO, NV (May 24) — Big weekend with one of the largest car shows of the year. Helping the turn outs was great weather. • The Reno Bike Community got the weekend started with their Friday evening ride. The turn out was lighter than normal probably due to the start of the holiday weekend. • The biggest event of the weekend was the annual Summer Salute presented by the Nevada Car Coalition.
